Recently, a Chinese switchgear manufacturer has successfully completed the production, packaging, and shipment of the third batch of 91 DC 750V switchgear units for the first phase of Astana's new transportation system light rail project (airport to railway station section) in Kazakhstan's capital. These units departed from the DQ-Sécheron factory in packed containers, transported via road-rail intermodal service along the China-Kazakhstan railway directly to Kazakhstan, providing crucial momentum for the project's progress.
As a landmark project of the China-Kazakhstan joint "Belt and Road Initiative" construction, the first phase of the Astana light rail project spans approximately 21.4 kilometers, connecting the city's core districts. It represents Central Asia's first light rail transit line entirely designed, constructed, and operated according to Chinese standards, marking a milestone in significantly enhancing Astana's urban transportation efficiency and improving its public service system. DC 750V switchgear serves as a core component of the light rail power supply system, with its performance directly impacting the safe and stable operation of the entire line.
Leveraging profound technical expertise and professional capabilities, the Chinese switchgear manufacturer not only delivered high-quality products on schedule but also established a solid foundation for the successful launch of the Astana light rail project through reliable equipment. This achievement embodies a vivid example of Chinese equipment and technical services "going global," continuously advancing and strengthening China-Kazakhstan cooperation under the "Belt and Road Initiative."
