YBW outdoor compact substation (European box transformer) is a compact substation that combines high-voltage electrical equipment, transformers, low-voltage electrical equipment, etc. into a compact complete distribution device for receiving and distributing electrical energy in the distribution system. This type of substation has the characteristics of strong completeness, small size, compact structure, safe and reliable operation, easy maintenance, and mobility. Compared with conventional civil type substation, box type substation with the same capacity usually occupy only 1/10-1/5 of the area of conventional substation, greatly reducing the design and construction workload, as well as reducing construction costs.

YBW compact substation can be used for ring network distribution systems, as well as for dual power or radiation terminal distribution systems. They are a new type of complete equipment for the construction and renovation of urban and rural substation.This product is composed of a high-voltage distribution device, a transformer, and a low-voltage distribution device, which are connected and divided into three functional compartments, namely the high-voltage compartment and the low-voltage compartment.

The main high-voltage side supply system of the Power Substation can be configured in multiple layouts such as loop network supply, terminal supply and dual-circuit supply. It can also be equipped with high-voltage metering components to meet high-voltage metering requirements. The transformer room of the Power Substation can be fitted with oil-immersed transformers like S11 and S13 or dry-type transformers such as SCB10 and SCB11; the room is equipped with an auto-start forced air cooling system and a lighting system. According to user requirements, the low-voltage room can adopt a combination of panel-type or cabinet-type structures to form a supply scheme that meets user needs for the Power Substation.

The equipment of the Power Substation integrates multiple functions including distribution, lighting distribution, reactive power compensation, energy metering and electricity monitoring. It adapts to the demands of different users, facilitates supply management and improves supply quality. The high-voltage room of the Power Substation features a compact and rational structure, with a comprehensive anti-misoperation interlock function. If required by users, rails can be installed at the transformer to enable easy entry and exit through the doors on both sides of the transformer room. Each room is equipped with automatic lighting devices. All components selected for the high and low-voltage rooms have reliable performance and simple operation, ensuring safe and stable operation of the Power Substation as well as convenient maintenance. Natural ventilation and forced ventilation are adopted for cooling, to ensure excellent heat dissipation.

Both the transformer room and the low-voltage room of the Power Substation are provided with ventilation ducts. The exhaust fans are equipped with temperature control devices that automatically start and stop according to the set temperature, ensuring the transformer operates at full load. The cabinet body of the Power Substation is made of special steel plates or aluminum alloy plates, which can effectively prevent rainwater and pollutants from entering. After anti-corrosion treatment, it can meet the requirements of long-term outdoor use, with anti-corrosion, waterproof and dustproof performance, long service life and an attractive appearance.
