Description

20kV Dry-Type Distribution Transforme Technical Features
This series of epoxy resin cast transformers is manufactured using advanced casting technology, ensuring high reliability and long service life. Protective enclosures can be added according to different IP ratings. These transformers are suitable for critical locations such as urban power grids, commercial centers, airports, tunnels, railway stations, ports, high-rise buildings, hospitals, theaters, and can be integrated into prefabricated substations.

Windings are made of either copper wire or copper foil, reinforced with glass fiber. The coils undergo vacuum drying and degassing without filler before being integrally cast in epoxy resin, resulting in high mechanical strength, excellent short-circuit resistance, and strong impact endurance.

The core is constructed from high-quality grain-oriented cold-rolled silicon steel laminations, stacked with 45° fully skewed joints and a stepped-lap configuration, effectively reducing no-load losses and operational noise.

Elastic components are used to clamp the core, windings, and clamping frames together, stabilizing the windings and further minimizing noise.

Longitudinal ventilation ducts are built into the walls of both high- and low-voltage cast coils, allowing optional forced-air cooling systems. With forced-air cooling, the transformer’s rated output capacity can be significantly increased.

An optional winding temperature controller can be installed to monitor winding temperature rise. It automatically starts/stops cooling fans and provides fault alarms, over-temperature warnings, and over-temperature trip functions—delivering reliable overload protection and enhancing the operational safety of the 20kV dry-type distribution transformer.
